陶聲洋防癌基金會董事長 陳光耀醫師傾一生為「CyberKnife放射外科治療」開創醫療傳奇。射波刀結合了電腦追蹤技術及放射外科原理殺死癌細胞，患者免受開刀之苦。恭賀醫師 陳光耀博士榮獲2023史懷哲創新奬章，並繼續帶領台灣醫療團隊走上國際抗癌防癌舞台，再次恭喜！
Dr. Kuang-Yao Chen, a distinguished medical professional and Chairman of the S. Y. Dao Cancer Prevention Foundation, for the Albert Schweitzer Award in recognition of his groundbreaking contributions to the field of medicine through the development and promotion of "CyberKnife Radiosurgery."
Dr. Chen's tireless efforts and dedication to cancer prevention and treatment have resulted in the creation of a medical legend with the implementation of CyberKnife Radiosurgery. The CyberKnife, a revolutionary medical device, seamlessly integrates computer tracking technology and principles of radiosurgery to target and eliminate cancer cells without the need for invasive surgical procedures. 2023 年 12 月 28 日得知本人因對電腦刀的重視，獲得國際史懷哲獎，先有不可置信之感。後來回想自從 1967 年我以國防醫學院教師和台北榮民總醫院放射治療科專科醫師的身分，前往美國德州大學 MD 安德森癌中心臨床放射腫瘤科和醫學科學研究院研究，分別獲得美國放射線醫學會授證的放射腫瘤學專家（有些翻譯為院士）及哲學博士學位，於 1971 年回國，畢生在國防醫學院物理醫學系和陽明醫學院對醫學系學生（也曾包括博士研究所、牙醫和護理學系及他校學生）課堂授課、台北榮民總醫院癌中心見習、實習教育和住院醫師訓練，籌建和擴充台北、台中、高雄榮民總醫院放射腫瘤科的發展，以及擔任陶聲防癌基金會公益職位的董事和董事長 54 年，推動無創無毒防癌治癌的臨床應用。
特別在放射外科方面從早期鐳囊、鐳針代替外科切除治療子宮頸癌、口腔癌等，到 1993 年在台北榮民總醫院首先推廣應用伽馬刀放射外科治療顱內腫瘤及良性疾病（用伽馬射線照射一次代替手術切除），以及北榮與新竹清華大學合作，推動全球非常稀有的硼中子治癌臨床試驗十餘年，和全台唯一的重粒子（碳離子）治療機，落户在台北榮民總醫院。本人先後創辦了中華（後改台灣）放射腫瘤學會和中華腫瘤醫學發展協會，培養放射腫瘤學人才，推廣先進的加速器治療機、質子治療機，局部和全身醫用熱療機，加上免疫藥和免疫細胞治療，各種提升天賦人體免疫力的整合性治療及防癌生活，構成完美的無創無毒、防癌（預防療後腫瘤復發）治癌的策略。
至於强調電腦刀放射外科( cyberknife radiosurgery）臨床應用方面，本人於 1997 年公職退休後，長期在大中華地區包抬台灣、大陸、香港以及印尼、馬來西亞等地，協助電腦刀發明人、神經外科 John R. Adler 教授（間接協助台南統一集團投資的美國研發生產電腦刀的 Accuray 公司）在醫師教育和民衆教育對電腦刀應用的推廣。用繁體字和簡體字出版華人地區第一本電腦刀的教課書「CyberKnife 放射外科治療規範」，另出版科普教育「CyberKnife 癌病救命書：X 線電腦刀神奇療法」，通常用 X 光線精準照射（0.1mm 級）1-5 次，即能消融大部分全身腫瘤，而且 5 公分以下的腦瘤、肺癌、肝癌巳納入全民健保。20 多年來台灣北、中、南都有多家醫院提供電腦刀放射外科的服務，讓 2300 萬人口的台灣，擁有全球最密集和高品質的放射治療和放射外科傲人的服務。感謝國際史懷哲基金會的頒獎。
